Honda Ready to Re-Introduce Civic Type R in the Australian Market
03 Dec 2014
There was a good demand for Honda Civic Type R in Australia, but for some reasons Honda decided to discontinued the vehicle in the Australian market. Now, Honda Australia has officially confirmed that the all new Honda Civic Type R will return for sure, but so far the dates are not confirm. The car has been absent in the Australian market for almost five years now. Honda Australia Director Stephen Collins made an announcement where he did mention that the car will return to the market, but currently they are working out on the right time to launch it.
The all new Honda Civic Type R is also quite popular in the UK and Honda has been taking pre-orders for the car ahead of the launch in May 2015. This comeback is also seen as Honda’s strategy to pull up performance in the performance models as they have not managed to impress the Australian buyers with CR-Z model.
Honda also hinted that they are trying to introduce more performance models in the future and that NSX supercar will be the next in line. However, it is predicted that the new Civic Type R will only hit the market in the third quarter of 2015 while NSX will come up later in 2016.
