Under the Hood
The 2013 Chrysler 300 offers three different engine choices for an impressive and dynamic performance. The 2013 Chrysler 300 trims except the SRT8 version comes standard with a 3.6 liter V6 that generates 292 horsepower and 260 lb ft of torque. The same engine delivers 300 horsepower at 300S trim because of its sports tuned exhaust. Eight speed automatic transmission and rear wheel drive versions are standard whereas AWD is optional. The V6 accelerates from 0-60 mph in 7 seconds with an EPA rated fuel economy of 19 mpg city and 31 mpg highway for rear wheel drive and 18 mpg city and 27 mpg highway for AWD.
The base 300 comes standard with a 5.7 liter V8 engine produces 363 horsepower and 294 lb ft of torque. Five speed automatic transmission and rear wheel drive is standard with an EPA rated fuel economy of 16 mpg city and 25 mpg highway for rear wheel drive and 15 mpg city and 23 mpg highway for AWD.
On top of the all trims, the SRT8 fits a powerful 6.4 liter V8 engine that generates 470 horsepower and 470 lb ft of torque. Rear wheel drive and five speed automatic is standard.
Antilock brakes, front side, full length side curtain and driver’s knee airbags, traction and stability control and front head restraints are standard on the 2013 Chrysler 300.
