Under the Hood
The 2014 Chevrolet Impala comes equipped with either a 2.5 liter four cylinder engine or a 3.6 liter V6 engine. The 2.5 liter four cylinder engine generates 195 horsepower and 187 lb ft of torque that will come standard on both the trim levels. The 3.6 liter V6 generates 305 horsepower and 264 lb ft of torque is optional for both trim levels. The EPA rated fuel economy for the 2.5 liter 4 cylinder is expected to achieve 21 mpg city and 31 mpg highway whereas for the 3.6 liter V6 it will 19 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. It is expected that the V6 accelerates from 0-60 mph in 6.8 seconds.
The standard safety features of the 2014 Chevrolet Impala are antilock brakes, a total of 10 airbags including front seat side impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, full length side curtain airbags, automatic crash notification, remote door unlock, stability and traction control, side blind zone alert, Lane departure alert, adaptive cruise control, rear cross traffic alert and Collision mitigation braking.
Pricing and Availability
The car will cost something between $27,535 to $36,580 and the sale date will be announced later this year.
