The 2014 Jaguar F-Type is a nice convertible which is a mix of classy styling, outstanding performance and superior luxury. The car first appeared at the 2012 Paris motor show and from that time the enthusiasts are waiting to see the car in the showrooms. The 2014 Jaguar F-Type is basically a two seat sports car that revives the formula of the E-Type sports car and the car is designed for the segment of full size sports car. The 2014 Jaguar F-Type gets very elegant and sophisticated styling that features J-Blade headlights, four sided stylish front grille that is placed a bit lower, rounded body panels, circular taillights and a fabric top. The roadster is available in three trim levels, the base, S and V8 S that offers you a number of high tech and competitive features. The base trim level of the 2014 Jaguar F-Type sits on 18 inch alloy wheels, LED running lights, heated side mirrors, automatic bi-Xenon headlights, rain sensing wipers, headlamp washers and deployable rear spoiler.

The 2014 Jaguar F-Type comes with two powerful engine choices, the “Base” trim level employs a 3.0 liter V6 supercharged engine that generates 340 horsepower and 332 lb ft of torque and is mated with manual shift control. The car sprints out from 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds. The EPA rated fuel economy is 20 mpg city and 28 mpg highway.

The S trim level comes with the same V6 engine like the base trim level but delivers an increased 380 horsepower and 339 lb ft of torque. The acceleration of this model is expected from 0-60 mph in about 4.8 seconds. The EPA estimated fuel economy is 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway.
The V8 S trim level employs a 5.0 liter V8 supercharged engine that generates 495 horsepower and 460 lb ft of torque. The car accelerates from 0-60 mph in an estimated 4.2 seconds at a top speed of 186 mph. The EPA estimated fuel economy is 16 mpg city and 23 mpg highway.

Occupants Safety

The standard safety features of the 2014 Jaguar F-Type are antilock disc brakes, seat mounted side airbags, electronic stability and traction control. Rear parking sensors are standard only on the V8 S model. Optional safety features include blind spot monitoring system, automatic high beam, rear cross traffic warning system, front parking sensors and adaptive headlights for all the trim levels.

Pricing and Availability

The 2014 Jaguar F-Type is expected to go on sale in the US in summer 2013 and different trim levels will get a base price of $69,000 for the Base trim, $81,000 for the S trim and $91,000 for the V8 S trim level.

The Verdict

The 2014 Jaguar F-Type is a good addition to small market of the “full size” sports car and looking to its features it seems that this roadster will give a really tough time to its rivals. Both the engines are just outstanding.
