The 2014 Jaguar F-Type comes with two powerful engine choices, the “Base” trim level employs a 3.0 liter V6 supercharged engine that generates 340 horsepower and 332 lb ft of torque and is mated with manual shift control. The car sprints out from 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds. The EPA rated fuel economy is 20 mpg city and 28 mpg highway.

The S trim level comes with the same V6 engine like the base trim level but delivers an increased 380 horsepower and 339 lb ft of torque. The acceleration of this model is expected from 0-60 mph in about 4.8 seconds. The EPA estimated fuel economy is 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway.
The V8 S trim level employs a 5.0 liter V8 supercharged engine that generates 495 horsepower and 460 lb ft of torque. The car accelerates from 0-60 mph in an estimated 4.2 seconds at a top speed of 186 mph. The EPA estimated fuel economy is 16 mpg city and 23 mpg highway.

Occupants Safety

The standard safety features of the 2014 Jaguar F-Type are antilock disc brakes, seat mounted side airbags, electronic stability and traction control. Rear parking sensors are standard only on the V8 S model. Optional safety features include blind spot monitoring system, automatic high beam, rear cross traffic warning system, front parking sensors and adaptive headlights for all the trim levels.

Pricing and Availability

The 2014 Jaguar F-Type is expected to go on sale in the US in summer 2013 and different trim levels will get a base price of $69,000 for the Base trim, $81,000 for the S trim and $91,000 for the V8 S trim level.

The Verdict
