The interior of the electric version closely follows the gasoline model’s, with a sizeable widescreen infotainment display and the latest version of Genesis’ infotainment system. The Electrified GV70 is Genesis’ third electric model and the first to be assembled in the United States.

The range is nearly equal to that of competitors like the Audi e-Tron and the Jaguar i-Pace and just behind the Tesla Model Y and Volvo EX90. The software is open to manipulation and easy to customize, with standard Android Automotive and Apple CarPlay. Tactile climate controls are becoming rare in new EVs.The center console is a true work of art with rich materials and an aluminum-trim control knob for the infotainment system. Genesis expects that the latest version of its software interface will run on the GV70’s infotainment system.

The electric GV70 provides comfortable seating for five passengers with ample head and knee room for rear occupants. There are convenient controls on the front passenger seat to give rear seat occupants more room to negotiate. The operation of the rear climate control is simple, with tactile controls on the rear of the console.

Rear passengers must contend with simply looking out of the expansive panoramic sunroof. With the seats up, the cargo space is 29 cubic feet, and with them down, it’s 57 cubic feet. The front trunk is extremely small and can accommodate only an emergency tire repair kit and inflator. The front seats exclusively provide ventilation, the rear seats solely provide heat.
