BMW Hosts Exclusive Event in Washington D.C. On 7th November 2013, one of the German Big 3, BMW hosted a special event in Washington D.C highlighting the commitment of BMW Group towards sustainable mobility via BMW i3, the first fully electric car ever manufactured by BMW.

At the event, a number of well-known personalities were present including government officials press and stakeholders influencers and key speakers and experts. At the event, the key speakers and experts discussed different points regarding “Shaping the future of sustainable mobility”. The keynote speakers were Heather Zichal, Deputy Assistant to the President for Energy and Climate Change, The White House; Senator Maria Cantwell, (D-WA); and Mitchell Moss, Director, Rudin Center for Transportation and Henry Hart Rice Professor of Urban Policy, NYU.

Designed to combine the driving experience of a BMW with the latest green car technology, the BMW i3 is an all-electric vehicle that offers both performance and efficiency. The car qualifies for a 100 % discount in Congestion Zone London. BMW’s i3 range extender technology supplements the car’s 80-100 mile real-world range, providing additional enjoyment and satisfaction.

The BMW of North America, LLC has been performing its operation since 1975 and with its great efforts, it has now grown to a number of key operations including financial services, marketing, and sales for the BMW’s brand of motor vehicles such as the Rolls Royce brand of motors, motorcycles and MINI brand.
